Mount Usher Gardens

Twenty acres of carefully maintained gardens with a rich history spanning generations. The pathways wind gently through woodland areas, flowering gardens, and open lawns — all designed so you can explore at your own pace.

We've tested the terrain thoroughly. Most sections are smooth and well-maintained. Benches are placed throughout, so you're never far from a rest spot. The main loop takes about two hours without rushing, though you can easily spend longer if something catches your eye.

Avoca Riverside Walk

The river walk follows gentle terrain with regular rest spots positioned at natural viewing points. You'll see the Avoca flowing past meadows and woodland. The three-mile loop is manageable over two hours with plenty of stopping places.

The pathway surface is good underfoot — mostly compacted earth and gravel. It's narrower than Mount Usher in places, but well-maintained. Wildlife is part of the experience here — you might spot herons, ducks, or if you're lucky, kingfishers. The water sounds never stop, which is genuinely peaceful.
